2023 Year In Review

As we bid farewell to another remarkable year, we can't help but be proud of the incredible moments that defined Traffio's year in 2023. This year has been a testament to collaboration and growth alongside our team's passion, development, and innovation.

At the onset of the year, we embarked on a significant expansion, welcoming six new members to Team Traffio. The addition of Junior Developers, Technical Support, and Marketing professionals marked a pivotal moment in our growth trajectory from what we can do right now, to what we will be able to do in the coming years. Among our newest recruits who are more than settled in now were Paul Martin, Jason Vellucci, Max Salyubrytskyy, Sasha Andersen, Bella Hu, and Tara Leach – each contributing their unique skills and enthusiasm to our dynamic team. Our wonderful Junior Developers were found through the Victorian Government initiative- The Victorian Digital Jobs Program.

In February, we proudly announced our Platinum Sponsorship for the 2023 TMAA Annual Conference and saw six of our team attend. This event not only provides a platform to connect with our valued clients but also allows us to showcase Traffio to a broader audience, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the industry. It was here that we made the public announcement that Traffio was expanding officially to the UK.

Our international footprint expanded as we welcomed Michael Dunn to support Jeff, Michael is our first UK employee. Michael later in the year committed to becoming a citizen of the United Kingdom (originally AU), a big step for Michael as he continues to call the UK home. This marked a significant stride in strengthening our presence in the UK, with Michael and Jeff tirelessly contributing to Traffio's endeavours. Michael came to visit the Melbourne office in August.

March saw us celebrating more than usual, the women in our team and those around us with International Women's Day. We had our team attend the Business Chicks event, who gained insights into the challenges and triumphs of women in business. Meanwhile, Nathan and Nick marked a remarkable milestone – over 11 years of business partnership. A heartfelt shoutout to these two, because without them our fabulous team would not be where it is today!

Amidst the achievements, a humorous road marking error in the UK added a touch of serendipity, seemingly affirming our presence in the region. May took Brad and Tara to Perth, to spend some time with clients and attend the TMAA networking event. One important event in Perth was also the National Road Safety Week Launch, and it tied in nicely while we were there to attend.

June marked not only Traffio's presence at Traffex but also a time to connect with others in business and tech at London Tech Week and Paris Viva Tech, showcasing our commitment to staying at the forefront of technology on a global scale.

A significant highlight of the year was July's celebration of Traffio's 10th anniversary. The month was filled with reflections on our journey, bringing together clients, suppliers, and staff who have played major roles in our growth. Among them, Wes celebrated his impressive 10-year milestone with Traffio- and can we say he has developed and achieved some great things in that period.

You can read more about the HERE.

In August, we also saw our team continue to grow with the addition of Farraneh, Adrian, and Ankita, reaching a total of 21 Traffio Team members.

The team gathered for a breakfast event featuring Jacinda Ardern at Business Chicks, drawing inspiration from her remarkable journey to becoming Prime Minister. It was impressive at the turnout we had from the team.

While getting on another plane, Shenai and Tara visited Brisbane for more in-person client meetings followed by a trip across to Adelaide where Kat helps clients with some great Customer Support!

The conferences and meetings we feel flew by as we continue to reflect, Michael, Jeff, and Nick attended the Highways UK conference in England, while Shenai, Brad, Kat, Tara, and Nathan participated in the National Roads and Traffic Expo and AusRail Conference in Sydney Australia. The attendance at AusRail was fuelled by some of the biggest news of the year with the development and launch of the Traffio Procurement functionality.

Working closely with John Holland, and several Victorian Government Departments and Agencies including the HIVE, the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) and the Department of Transport, Traffio Procurement has been developed to enhance collaboration between Tier One, suppliers, and Traffic Management suppliers reinforcing our commitment to efficiency and innovation.

We have been doing so many things behind the scenes too, which have included getting Traffio UKified. Some of our development team have been working on ensuring that the Traffio platform meets the needs of the UK user and that it makes sense and has the same type of flow that the Australian platform has. Other areas of our team have been developing new functions that will help manage your tasks and jobs better and will also allow you to map out sites and requirements better while keeping everything unified and streamlined.

Lastly, we conducted our Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey and want to thank everyone who took the time to provide their feedback, your thoughts, information, and details were so helpful. We have taken all results to the team and shared with them issues, successes and also things we may like to do to improve our results with you. Several clients provided their details so we will be emailing you in the next few weeks! We truly appreciate the feedback and can’t wait to make Traffio even better.

So, as the curtains fall on 2023, we look back with pride at the collective achievements, partnerships, and growth that have defined Traffio's journey. Here's to another year of pushing boundaries, embracing challenges, and celebrating success together. Onward to 2024!
