New onboarding status function

Our goal at Traffio is to streamline your traffic management operations with one centralised software. That is why we’ve been looking for ways to improve your people management. Last year, we added the work anniversaries and birthdays to keep more connect with your staff.

As part of improving our HR functions, we are excited to announce that we have added employee onboarding status to assist in the processes of onboarding your staff into Traffio by allowing you to manage each person’s employment status easily, keeping your staff list organised and up-to-date.

Employment statuses can be found in the people menu in an employee’s profile under onboarding. When creating a new employee, by default, a new employee will be set as “candidate”.

Employees can be tracked under the following:

CandidateCandidate – entered into the traffio system as a potential new employee.

Recruited – Recruited but yet to be onboarded.

Non-starter –Was hired but did not make it through onboarding.

Onboarding – Going through the onboarding process but is not ready for bookings.

Probation - Available for jobs but currently in their probation period.

Active – Fully onboarded and ready to use on bookings.

Suspended - Currently suspended from work and will not show up as available for bookings.

Terminating – Going through the processes of offboarding.

Terminated – No longer an employee.

Using the new onboarding too as a booking aid

Now when using the booking board, when assigning a person to a booking, the list of available employees will only show employees that have an employment status set as “active” or "probation" or, in other words, successfully onboarded and ready to work.

If you wish to show all people with other employment statuses in the booking board resource list, you can use the “unapproved” filter under the “show/hide” heading, and all the people will appear. It is possible to assign not-onboarded people to a booking. However, a warning label will appear below their name in the booking tile.
